Holy crap I went up to gander mountain to get some ammo for my deer rifle, grabbed a box of 200 grain winchester I didn't bother looking at the price. Got to the counter and those crooks wanted $81 for a box of 20 rounds. Up from $62 a year and a half ago. rant over sorry
Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

What size rifle? There is no way I'd pay over $40 for a box of 20. I just looked at Cabelas for my rifle. $17.99 a box. 30-06 180 grain PSP Core Lokt.
I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

325 wsm, my dad's 300 wsm ammo has also gone up about $9 a box also. The type of cartridge is accu bond or something like that.

I know tell me about it, my 7mm Rem Mag is around 45 a box right now. Not to mention that 3 inch steel for goose and duck hunting is around 20-25 a box. RIDICULOUS At least arrows haven't gone up and they are usually reusable

Try to buy a box of .380 ammo. $60-$70 for 25 rounds! Since the Obominator was elected there's a panic on about gun restrictions and ammo restrictions. So the law-abiding citizens are buying up as much as they can now! The US is also fighting two wars and the ammo manufacturer's are running their facilities 24/7 and can't keep up with demand

Mec's are pretty much dedicated to shotshell loading.
RCBS, Lee, and Lyman all make great presses Dillon probably make's some of the best.
Even component's like powder, primer's and bullet's are going way up in price lately.
Welcome to ObamaLand, where self avowed Communist's are in the White House advising the President!
And group's with tie's to the Weather Underground are Writing the 1000+ page bill's that are being forced through Congress and the Senate before anybody can even read them.

the price of ammo has gone way up...and as far as reloading they're talking about trying to pass a bill to serial code every brass from now on. even reloading is going to get harder to do. times are changing fellas. Military uses 223 and companies like winchester and remigton buy their brass buy the truck load. when you buy a box of shells they have all been shot one time for practice, reloaded by the company that buys them, and resold to us. Govt. wants to pass the bill to ban this and serial number every brass...ammo is going to get more expensive and harder and harder to get.

I don't know about this year but I shoot remington coppersolid 3 inch sabot 12 gage slugs. 18.99 a box. That is $3.80 per shot!!!! And I need to get a new scope and sight it in. Not looking forward to it. I hate shooting that gun because all I can think about is 4 bucks a shot.. stupid.

I have a MEC shot shell reloader and my grandfather has all the MEC rifle reloading equptment and they have never given us a problem. By reloading your own ammo not only do you save money but we found that our hand loaded rifle shells are more accurate than factory loads.
If i had to recomend a powder it would be Hadgens it seems to be very clean burning and we also haven't had a miss fire with the CCI primers we use. Just thought i would throw those sugestions out there.

Reload.....
I love standing at the range when a younger guy pulls up with his AR, stands there like Rambo blindly throwing lead down range and missing everything he "aims" at and takes off leaving 100 brass on the ground. Reloading .223 was never cheaper.
96 xlt sks/rmk. custom 5.5 inch riser on the bars, custom air intake, custom front shock mounts, custom oil feed channel in block to inner pto end bearing, primer (I hate chokes), custom = I made it myself
