You could probably get away with zip-ties. I mean it's not like it's in a stressful area where it will be getting tugged on hard enough to break multiple zip-ties.

I need something to plug the end where the bar goes through...something rubber would be nice.
Kinda hard to see the U bolt.

You could go for a real clean look and ditch the box all together and run the wires to switches on your console. Really is not that hard I did it in a XP Summit last winter for a friend. Looked great. Totally got rid of the bulky box and really opened up the bars. Plus there is no bumping them when you ride hard.

Its really not that hard. And they dont need to be Doo switches.

Quote originally posted by xtralettucetomatoe580 You could go for a real clean look and ditch the box all together and run the wires to switches on your console. I did this on my ZR. The cleanest way to do it IMO. Most factory setups are excessively bulky if you ask me. But then again, an easy to use control system is probably key for most consumers. Whatever works for you though...that's the main thing...

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion.

Electrical kits to mount on the riser is a product that I was working on in the product conception phase.
Basically doing what you guys are suggesting here by uning after market switches,
but then mounting them into a little control panel cut from stainless sheet and then mounting that to the risers or center of bars with the P shaped mounts that normally hold electrical stuff.
Look at the after market buttons in the Western Power book and also at the auto parts stores.
