Well I'm getting kind of sled crazy and was wondering is there anything I should do to prep my sled for a grass drag? I'd only be doing it once just to try it.

This going to sound dumb, but lube up the sliders with dish soap.

would you be doing this just for fun or to actually race?

Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

Guess you will be running a stock class?...
You may want to shorten your limiter strap and tie down rear suspension
(softest setting on pre-load and strap down suspension). Keep those skis off the grass a couple of inches. If your skis are hitting you need to change your set up. skis cause drag and slow you down.

I was just gonna do it for fun, but yeah I would race in the stock class if I where to race. Pretty sure I'd do pretty good my 500 is quick.

Hmmm, that's an awful lot of trouble just to do a single drag in my front yard.

Guess I misunderstood. I thought you were going to run at a sanctioned grass drag. If this is just your buddies then just be safe and have fun.

run it as it is. if its only for fun then do it as the sled is so you can get a feel for it. even in stock class you are running against pros that have there sleds setup and years worth of notes to tune with. just go and have fun with it.
