I bought one of those 120's and what a waste of money.
Very under "everything" and the kids get fed up not being able to do anything but go slow on groomed flat trail.
I put my son on a 1992 Phazer and he's been having a ball ever sense.
I would suggest going that route and governing the motor.
The only good thing about summer is women wear less…

I had a 1989 Polaris 340 2 seater that me and my brother rode together on the trails when he was 5 and I was 6. my mom would go in the front to set the pace and my dad would be in the back to make sure everything was ok. We never had a governer on the sled or anything, we just never had an opportunity to pin it. We never crashed or anything. We started in open fields to get used to the sled and then we went on the trails a few times on the first year. after that we were all trails.

it's a 94 with like 4000 miles, I think for 1500 you could get a much better sled, like a 500 or whatever and then your kids would be able to ride it longer.

You can normally pick up a 120 on ebay for 800-1300. My son loves his. He started on a kitty kat which is VERY slow, then up to the 120. A little tinkering and it'll go plenty fast enough. Remember guys 25mph doesn't seem like much to us, but to a 6 yr old it's hauling the mail.
When hell freezes over I'll ride there too!!

definately know what you're saying, but you can govern a sled that he isn't going to grow out of real fast.

Yes you are correct. I actually tried my son out on a indy trail before purchasing a 120 to see how he did. The steering was my only concern. He had to put soo much effort to turn sharp that I didn't want to risk it. He told me it was too hard to steer. Other than that he did handle it.

you're right i never thought about that. i guess i can see why you would get a 120 but it still seems like he will outgrow it all to quickly for what you have to pay for some of these things.
