A lot of the crap you hear about wally world is true. I unfortunately work there, not exactly by choice. I needed to find a job that could work around my class schedule and pay better than min wage. Surprisingly wally world offered the most money. For a part time job its not too bad, but they've got a really strict attendance policy. As for full time employees....their screwed. Walmart gives each store a quota as to how many full time employees they can have because they don't want to be giving out benefits to everyone, and they'll cut their hours down whenever they feel like it.

Do your best and make your job there as fun and interesting as you can. Most employees I see there seem pretty happy to me. You have a good job for what you want out of it, it sounds like.

Always have hated that place and try to avoid it all costs, i'm fine paying more at other places!!! Mostly so I don't have to stand in checkout line for 30 minutes, 26 check outs and only 3 open at all times!!!! What a joke!

EXACTLY! I only go to that place to get a few things, It seems like no matter what time you go there there's a crapload of people waiting in line in one of the 3 checkout lines that are open and there's TONS of other checkouts WFO with nobody working them. And as you wait you see numerous employees standing around or wandering here and there. The best thing to see is when they all get together dancing and clapping and sing their goofy friggin cheer! I feel bad for anyone who works there and has had that experience.

Yup, a jobs a job, I've just learned to deal with the idiocity of management and move on. Then BS with other employees about it.

Lol living in a small town this does not affect me what so ever so I cant really say I hate Wal Mart. The closes Wal Mart is an hour and a half away.

But the thing I REALLY hate are those stupid "Self Checkouts"

WTF IS THAT???? I was mad when I went to the city and bought groceries and had to bag them myself and now Wal Mart wants me to scan and pay a machine? A lot of my friends stole a lot of stuff by scanning them so the beeper wouldnt go off and then just walking away. But this trick you can really only do once because the light stays on and now they have a person watching them at all times. Also one guy got away with saying he scanned it and put a $50 bill in but it didnt work. Not only did Wal Mart give him his purchase for free he got his change back lol. The next week there was repair men on them for about 2-3 days. Trying to figure out what happend. Which was nothing. Regardless to say my friends got away with a lot of free stuff.

They only didnt pay once and did that "I put my money in!!" about twice? I dunno because I dont go to Wal Mart much and I wouldnt be able to steal anyways. But ya thats when they first came out. They are now pretty strick on them and stuff. Where they live anyways.

If you cant fix it with duct tape, tylnol, or band aids your screwed.

Its really fun to watch people try to rush through the self checks and get completely frustrated at the machine. or they unload all their stuff and then just stand there waiting for someone to scan their item for them....

wally world is so focused on trying to reinvent its image by providing better customer service so that their probably loosing a ton of money. ie mad warriors post, they'll hand out money or merchandise to just about anyone because they don't want to make a seen or upset the customer. if an employee sees someone trying to steel something they have to ask them nicely if they plan to purchase that item....oh no a customer might be insulted

I like Target/sears better, but our target/sears are in a mall, which I hate going to. sucks trying to get in andout of there, especially if your in a hurry.

They wont build a super target somewhere else that is easy to get to.

I personally like walmart. Shop there for my electronics, snacks, and of course, the walmart I go to ( which happens to be 29 miles away ), has a Dunkin Donuts!

the wal mart i work at is losing money and customers everyday. i work in the lube and tire shop and we give away batteries and tires everyday because people complain. the customers i deal with have no common sense. they come in sayin the tires you sold me are defective, well your alignment looks like hell. they end up leaving with new tires for free because management doesnt want to loose one customer.

Got a good one for you guys I just got told.

3 years ago walmart thought my 40 year old brother stole something for some reason. They patted him down, of course he was fine. He was so pissed off because they did this in front of everyone at the checkout he went nuts and said he was never going back. He said 3 times in the past 3 years he has had to go there for something.

Last week he bought 200 dollars of stuff for something, at the exit, they said let me see your receipt (like they do at sams club). He said "are you joking?". The guy said "no, let me see your receipt". My brother said "I just spent 200 bucks in this piece of **** and you think I stole something in the last 30 feet from the register to here!!!!!!????". Guy said "I have to check sir, give me your receipt.". My brother said "here, lets go to customer service and you can have it". They walked to customer service and my brother said "return it all, I don't want a f'king bit of it". He returned 100% of it.

Classic
