Normally you just slide the drive axel to the Speedo side then tip it down and then slide it out.. You need make sure the Speedo brackets are off on both sides to maneuver it correctly.
hope this helps..

Remove the bottom gear, bearing retainer, and bearing from the chaincase. Remove the speedo cable and bearing retainer from the clutch side. From there you should be able to maneuver the driveshaft up through the chaincase side, then slide and drop it out. The driveshaft might take some wiggling to pop loose if it hasn't been off in awhile, or at all. There is also another bearing retainer on the driveshaft itself for the clutch side bearing; you'll have to make sure that pops loose. That's how I've done it on all the Cats I've worked on. Never done one that old though.

The second bearing retainer will be underneath in the tunnel area. It will probably be right on the side of the tunnel. That retainer has 3 bolts in it that attach it to the retainer on the other side (under the hood), or at least on mine they always did.

well the track it self has never been studded, and in between the paddles(or lack there of) it is like new. the track would be good to stud the crap out of and ice race or use for grass drags in summer. not that im going to do it, but im probably going to sell it for like $45
but i went out friday morning b4 school and i pulled it towards the chaincase, and presto it was out. thanks for the help everyone, and i have a 121x15x.?? track 4 sale now
