I've had my 05 switchback 600 for a week now. I'm trying to decide what mods I can do to the sled. Anyone out there done anything to their switchback 600 or equivalent that really made the difference?
I already have:
v-froce3 reeds
slp can
pivot bar risers
Low black windshield
hand guards
in the process of buying slydog powder hound skis
Anything else guys?

Well I just got it last week so i think I should wait on that type of stuff to see if I need to improve on those two. Anything else?

A bigger engine... Kidding of course. A lot of the mods you'll get on a post like this are performance based. How will you be riding? Trails, on/off, drift pounding? If your main riding area is Pittsburg, you'll definitely want some studs, maybe some better carbides. If it's new to you, best idea is to ride it and see what you want to improve. Plus, your sled already has some good mods on it. Any reason you want to spend more money? lol

lol, I don't like the 800's seen too many problems with them around here. never heard of any problems with he 600's though
I ride about 85% on groomed trails, but i ride fast and aggressively. but when i see a good open spot of powder on the side of the trail I am all over that!
My track is studded and today I just bought brand new slydog powderhound skis with 9" studboy shaper bars.
I dunno why i want to spend more money on it lol I just love making my sleds better!

By the sounds of your riding style, you need to clutch your 600 for acceleration, and mid range pop

Well I haven't ridden the sled yet lol. How are these things stock?
I am assuming you mean gear it for acceleration? If not, how do I clutch it for acceleration, stiffer/softer spring or heavier/lighter weights or any combo...?

Check with aftermarket companies, ie. SLP, EPI, Hotseat, etc, they have their set ups for sled

I had to get rid of the can... can't use it around here without getting a $200 ticket. Not worth it to me. Back to stock :-(

The DYNOPORT single pipe kit is no louder than stock, Just a little less anoying, deeper sound, and creates lots of HP.Check it out. http://www.dynoport.com/

NH law is not against sound, you are not legally permitted to have anything besides stock. It could even be quieter than stock, it would still be against NH law.
