Ok so i put a 4 inch riser on my zl 500 and want to put some different bars on it now. Since I work at a dirt bike dealer i was wondering if i could put some Chad Reed Pro taper bars on it. I have the throttle extension on which is a 10 in extension and i have a 6 inch brake line extension. will i have to go any longer with the extensions??

I believe those are 1 1/8" fatbars? If so you'll need an adapter to mount them, as your stock bars are only 7/8". You'll also want an oversize barpad at that point. Other than that I'm thinking you should be fine. If they are the 7/8" model, you should be fine to bolt em up.

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

They are pretty much Charmichael bars. They are the 1 1/8 and the RSI riser i got have reducing washer type things in them and i can take them out to fit the fatbars.

Sounds like you have all the basics covered. If everything is long enough as is now, I don't forsee any issues by installing those. They shouldn't be much, if any, taller than your stock bars.

You have enough cable and brake line for that.
The electricals could be a little short,
If so it an easy and cheep fix.
Just extend 1 at a time with automotive conectors and a piece of wire.
Cover it with a wire loom when you are done.

What was the adapter for...pivot adapter?

I put a Fly Pivot Adapter on my ZR a few years ago, and the holes did not line up worth a damn. I ended up having to drill out some things in order to get them to line up. The fit and finish was not very good at all, but I made do.

Ya it was a pivot adapter. I drilled the holes and still a no go so we were getting mad and just put bolts through it. I took my hand warmers off and now im trying to figure out what to do with the wires. My kill switch doesnt work now either.
