I need a sled in the 400lb range? The bravo needs a modernized version (suspension/engine power/looks/larger ski/larger track)? Keep the original Bravo as well as a new lighter, nimble sled that you can move in powder/slush/etc..
These 600/700lb plus, sleds are useless if you leave the trail and hit deep stuff.Trying to unstuck these monsters is nuts!
Ski-do has a modern (400lb) version ,the Tundra I believe?
I need Yamaha to build it,not Ski-doo......One day it will happen, just a matter of time I guess?

My Advice, better learn to ride with a partner if you cant pick up the front or back end of a sled. You really should be doing it anyways. Don't know many people that can't pick up an end of their sled..... I would learn to lift weights real quick if i was you.

X2 As for the guy who said get a sled with reverse, Reverse can be your worst enemy in powder and slush.

in all truthfulness i would rather dig out my RMk with a 151 packed full than a 121. i dont know y but it just seems easier to pull out.
But in your situation i would suggest (like all the others already have) get to a gym and lift some weights cause if you cant lift your sled out of a hole and your alone then your pretty much screwed. It sucks walkin back through 3 feet of powder.

Come on now! If you want a sled with power and suspension, I don't think it will be as light as a bravo.
I'm sure your not smaller then me, but I can pick up my pops srx 700 out of the drifts. It's not the easiest thing I have done but it sure is not to hard.
If you get it stuck, you get it out.

I don't know why everyones bashing you man, seems like a legit complaint lol.
Ski doo has been decreasing their weight each year. They are down to like 480 on their 600 or something like that... I'm sure someone here know the exact number.
yamahas have the heaviest sleds in the industry though...

i run an apex and i can only lift the back end, most ppl can't lift there sleds in the snow, but gettin unstuck is not that big of a deal. if you think that ur gonna just lift a sled out of a hole and be unstuck. your sadly mistaken, use a shovel dig and pack snow around the sled for 5min and with a ski pull from a buddy your out in no time. i've been buried to the handle bars in deep pow and this is all it takes to get out
i ride where its steep n' deep :P

Just hold it to the handle bars and dont slow down nor stop...but then again having a 121" track sucks in the really deep stuff. Get a deeper lug.

THe disconnect on the heavy sled issue is almost humerous, sadly.
My last sled was a 07 Venture-lite 700+lbs .Dove like a submarine
in the deep stuff OFF TRAIL!!!!
Picking up either end of that machine must be in the 300lb range,
FCK the gym Norwigean. This is strictly a trail sled, like all of the Yam line-up except Bravo.
One day the sled makers will wake up and give the off trail guys something that dosen't require
A defib onboard.
My piont: the sleds are getting way too heavy, period.
"go to the gym"....What a marroon.......

Todays sleds are made to handle more abuse and more power. If you want that you have to take the good with the bad.

How would a guy who drives 340 & 440 sleds have any piont of view on my discussion regarding todays much heavier sleds? Then suggesting weight training is thick as a brick!
I like Yamaha. Can they make a lighter sled..........if they wanted too.
