You have to open up the sheves on the secondary by turning them opposite ways. It can be tough with a stiff spring but it should go right on once you open it.

Do you mean your clutch belt?
If you cant fix it with duct tape, tylnol, or band aids your screwed.

if you cant spread the sheaves, raise the ass end so the track spins freely.. put the belt on the primary and half way on the secondary and have some one spin the trackand you spin the secondary the same way. that should work

Get another person. Put the belt on a little bit. Then put your hand on the top of the belt ( away from the sides and bottom of the belt so your hands dont get caught ) while you try spinning it, have your friend pull the sled backwards, it should go right on.

what kinda snowmachine is it? if it's the newer ones, it should come with a tool that spreads the sheaves so that the installation should be easy

If your sled had a parking brake lock the brake, this will keep the jackshaft from moving..
Then with the belt already on the front clutch, twist clockwise on the secondary clutch back sheeve 1/4 turn, then rock it back and forth while pushing toward the tunnel, and it will spread open. Then while holding the clutch open with one hand, slide the belt in with the other then let the clutch go. Unlock the brake.
