First rode - too little to remember, I think it was a Yamaha though.
First drove and owned - an old pile of a Yamaha 340 1970 something?. Had two different engines for it, the original Yamaha and a Polaris. Hood didn't fit, so I just left it off. (not a trail sled, but jumped great) What a cobbled pile of crap, but had a freakin' blast with it.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe the first that I did a lot of my riding on (well, me and my brother's sled) would probably be a Polaris Colt 250 (I think). I started riding at a very young age and don't remember it all. I cruised on some Kitty Cats for a while too. My brother and I then moved up to a 1988 or 1989 Indy Trail. After that, the first sled I could truly call mine (err, the one "I rode") was a 1993 XLT and my brother remained on the Trail.

Used to ride on the back of a 1978 John Deere Trailfire 440 with my old man. As I got older I took it out by myself. My first sled I bought was a 2001 Arctic Cat ZRT 600.

1978 I was 14 years old and it was two Yamaha's my Dad got from a friend of mines Father. They were upgrading and gave my Dad a good deal.
1972 Yamaha GP-433B which I have now and plan to restore
The first machine that I purchased and owned myself was my "Yama-Doo" It was a Yamaha body with a 340 TNT from a Ski-doo as it's power plant. It was a'78 body. I don't even know what model it was, but it was really lite and fun to ride.

The very first sled I remember riding was a kitty cat, 1979. Still have it and it runs great. First sled I rode with someone was the 1978 El Tigre with my dad. Almost rolled trying to turn around on a snow bank. The one I got now is the '96 XCR 600 in my picture in the corner. that thing is fun.

First Sled I rode was the same one I owned. 1987 Polaris Indy 340 touring. Shared it with my younger brother, We would ride together and take turns driving so we wouldn't get too tired or something lol. I once got it to 65 mph when i was 7. It was maxed out, going down hill on a groomed trail lol. I was a speed Demon!

First sled I ever rode was a mid 90's Polaris of some sort... all I can remember is it was red and even though it was less displacement, it was faster than the Kawasaki 250 sled that was also out there.
First sled I ever owned was a 95 Yamaha Phazer II with a 121 x 1.5" paddle track. Decent starting point for learning to mountain ride.

The first sled I ever drove was a '75 or '76 Johnson JX 440 or something like that. A friend's family had a pair of sleds, and that was the one that ran. We used to pull each other around the yard on an old plastic tobaggan behind the sled. I would come home from there and my mom would complain about how much my coat stunk. This was probably around '80 or '81, I can't say for sure.
Fast forward about 15 years, and I got back into riding a little bit, on various machines owned by friends or family. Couldn't really tell you too much about the various ones, aside from them being a couple 'Cats, and a Polaris or 2.
Finally over the winter of '02, my wife told me that I should see about getting some sleds of our own. The first sled I ever purchased was the '98 XC700 that I own now. Finally got around to finding the right sled for my wife, the XC500, fall of '04. For as often as we seem to get to ride them, I can't say that we're in the market for different ones yet.

First sled I drove was a 1996 or 1997 kitty cat.
I still technically dont own a sled because Im 15, but I should be buying an 05 or 06 Fusion soon by myself.

My first sled was probably the first sled i rode. Its a 94 Kitty Cat, that i got for my 1st or 2nd christmas. We still have it in the basement, and i still ride it some. I can slam it back onto the bumper and then cruise on one ski, that thing is so much fun. I mightve rode in front of my dad on our Ultra or XLT. I still dont have my own sled and probably wont. I need to get a truck, and my dad will pay for half of that. After the truck he wont help me on any other purchases, so i have to decide if i want to get a quad or sled.

First sled I drove by myself I believe was the '84 Bravo Short track that is sitting in our shed. That is a fun machine, even had a great time on it this year (granted I was only on it for about 30 minutes haha, would never take it for a long ride, too small for me to do that).
First sled I've owned is my current 2002 Renegade 700. I love it. Simple as that haha.
