I hope it doesnt snow yet! I've still got 1200 acres of corn to get out and 1300 acres of ground to work, plus custom anhydrous and tiling to do! I'm a die hard snowmobileing addict, but I've still got to make some money! After Thanksgiving bring on the snow hardcore.

Anyone know what the outlook for the winter is in general for MN? We've had such a mild summer, albeit dry.

talk of flurries next week in MN. I'm in a climatology/meterology class at SDSU, and the SD climatologist (my professor) said that due to el nino, the winter is going to be really unpredictable because of Pacific Ocean currents are changing alot lately and throwing a monkey wrench into the winter season. There are 4-5 hardcore sledders in that class so everyday we're asking about the winter outlook and he said that all the climotologists are scrambling trying to predict the winter.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.
