that is cool because I am not a big rider forward fan what is the biggest lug I can go with the f7 I would like to put a 1.5 track under it
You can do that. just 1.7 or larger you need the snopro drop brackets.
I don't have a 2003 F7 but I have a 2003 F5. Its a great sled. Its not hat tippy to me. besides i like it that way. Just be sure to check that all the recalls have been taken care of.

What are all these horror stories about, that are associated with the o3 firecats ? With the pro-x what are the advantages with the shorty seat aslo how hard would it be to install reverse on the pro-x and the f7

Bad fuel mapping and weak spots on the tunnels.

If you can find the PERC push button electronic reverse kits for a pro-x, its a matter of swapping the wiring harness, ecu, tach and adding the button. that simple. I just did it last winter. Best single upgrade ive done. Finding one is the hard part if the sled doesnt have it. I paid $250 used though since the pro-x specific perc is not made anymore from polaris and no one is obviously going to get rid of it unless the sled is getting parted out. The firecat of the same vintage has the mechanical reverse which adds weight and the potential for something to go wrong being completely mechanical.
The 03s had a very lean fuel map which contributed to their very fast reputation (fastest firecat supposedly) but it did cause a lot of blown motors because of it. The suspension rails are also a weak link and have the tendency to crack.

check for steering post recall, red ski recall, gas tank filler neck recall, and cracked rails in the rear if it has been ridden hard.

I might throw on twin pipes on the f7 if I get it is their like a way to control the EFI on it because on carbs you have to rejet it if I get the pro-x I will throw on a single The reason why I would like to have twin pipes is because they give you more power and with carbs I have seen people bur up a engine with twins so I might get the F7 next seson but need to know if I can control the EFI

I sold mine at this time last season (04 Pro-X2 600 with 2200 miles) for 3 grand. As for the shorty seat, it's uncomfortable if you are tall and all the foam compresses in the seat and collapses, it's like riding while sitting on the can.

You will need a Boondocker control box to tune the EFI for twin pipes. It's another $400. Keep in mind twins add power more-so to the upper RPM range. If you're more into ditchbanging and such where bottom end punch is important, a good single will be better, and most don't require a Boondocker. Just an FYI. I've seen 03 F7's anywhere from $2500-$3500...

Thanks Quinlan I am a mix between off-trail and corn field racing so that is why I think twins would be good and I think if they get nickel coated they would look pretty good like that or even black paint looks okay

Back to the "rider-forward" talk. The F7's aren't rider forward until you throw a seat wedge on it.

And a seat ripper...haha. I took mine off and threw my seat away. It started ripping in the back. I ordered a 05-06 seat for it. 300.00 bucks...it'll be worth it though.

Here's a picture of an F6 with a Speedwerx pipe and an SLP can. I am not sure what people mean when they say Firecats are tippy. Mine does well for me in all conditions. Also, IMO, with the money you will spend on twin pipes and a boondocker kit, you should put that money towards a newer model.

So you are saying that I should go with a newer model like an 05 firecat but I would be spending more for twins on a newer model so I might get either a 03 or 04 F6 or F7 Can you throw twins on a 600 because on SLP I only twins for the 700s I just am dazzled on how these things feel when sitting on one and amazed on how it felt also if I do get twins and EFI controller will it burn up in a long field or should I give it short bursts of throttle

Holy hell dude, try using some grammar in the future. That's a long ass sentence.
What they were trying to get across is that you could spend money on an 03 Firecat and get the Twins, BD box, etc like you were thinking, and risk the problems the 03's had, OR you could simply buy a newer model F7 that will be much less prone to problems. They weren't saying spend extra money for the newer sled, but to simply take the money you would spend on the older sled and mods, and put towards a newer one with no mods. The way I look at it, you're what...16yo? I don't see why a 16yo would need a sled putting out 160hp except for bragging rights. The F7's put out nearly 140hp stock, which properly setup, will be a blast to ride the way it is.

Sorry about the grammar. I do not pay attention in English class often, The reason I want twins is because I go to Canada a couple times a year and I like to have that extra HP there, and because in the morning when I ride to school they have a 1000 ft corn field there so it is fun to drag race friends for like $10. Also I had no clue that a F7 put out that much so I might just get single or a different can so it can have its own signature tone, probably a jaws can or an SLP And I will be 17 in april.
