Hey everybody. I was just curios what kind of sled you have. I have a 2006 Polaris RMK 700 with a mbrp can. (144x15x2). 527 pounds stock, now 508 pounds. 140 hp stock, now 142 hp. lbs/hp=3.602 Also want to put a timbersled air intake on it, wich removes 8 pounds and adds 3 hp.
Whats does your sled have?
-hp?
-track size?
-weight?
-anything aftermarket?
-and anything else you can provide.

Do not have a mountain sled but i do have a skidoo alpine that is 640cc of fan cooled power and has twin 144 tracks which in my standards is a mountain track/ deep powder track it has 1 ski, Weighs more than my indy 500 but that alpine does not get stuck very often it just wont go father if it is going to get stuck but the really cool thing is that when it is put in reverse it crawls out of the hole and the continues right on top speed is 20-30 mph
1998 Polaris Indy 500 chassis with 98 Xc 600 motor
SLP ceramic coated pipe with SLP can
V-force reeds
4 inch pivot riser
Gutted Air Box
EPI clutch kit soon to be installed
Maybe some pro tapers
1998 XC 700 water-cross sled
SLP twin pipes
Some light weight parts
Water-cross mods include taking the parts u do not need
This includes removing the seat replacing gas tank and IFS bars.

That sounds like as far from a mountain sled as you can get.
And polarisrmk700, did you weigh your sled to start with? How can you be so sure about the weights. And at sea level you might be getting 142 hp but at 8000 feet you are getting far less.
Anyway, I ride a 09 Dragon 800 163" with an HPS can which is freaking loud and as of right now I have a brand new bottom end, top end with 200 miles on it and in a few weeks have a new top end with 0 miles on it. Hope polaris figures it out this year...

That is because...They dont. The 700 CFI makes 138-141 at sea level. The 755 is like 132 if I recall. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I know the CFI makes more. polarisrmk700 dont waste your $$ on the intake. Invest in venting and pre-filter material to get air in. The can did not add HP either sorry and neither will the intake.

Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. I seem to recall the 755 made 138hp.
Here is mine, specs in my signature
CMX/PSI RMK mod,
Around 180HP
144"x2"
447lbs dry
Only thing stock on the sled is the belly pan and bulkhead.
Its getting a new motor for this season though.
Conservatively 220-230HP and 130ft-lbs of torque.
1200 WC coming soon

Started from weight at snowmobile.com and supposedly somehow the mbrp can takes off 18 pounds.
yeah at sea level, i go to the mountains maybe 1 time/year. im only 1000 to 2000 feet above sea level.

Maybe maybe not, weight loss is good.

I have a '09 Dragon 800 RMK 155". Just got the latest and greatest update performed on the sled... The sled has 4" RSI risers and a SLP can. Next year I am thinking about going with a Twisted Turbo kit... Pump gas of course.
