Just as the topic says, anybody been laid off and starting to find new jobs? I think I may have found a new job, but I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm a level 3 heavy equipment technician apprentice (about 6 months from my CFQ)

My mom just got a new job, she starts thursday. She wasn't laid off, she just quit because she hated the people and the atmosphere there. She quit after she found the new job.

Most of my friends that were laid off have all found new work. 3/4 of them are even making more money at the new job! Economy is picking up!

Hopefully your right, I'm hoping to get in at a mining camp, 3 weeks in 2 out, or 2 in 2 out, that kinda thing.

I got layed off in march, over the summer I mowed lawns and did landscaping for a local guy. Now that school has started I'm pretty much without a job I haven't been able to find a job that doesn't conflict with school so about 2 weeks ago I started making stained glass windows for people. I borrowed $600 from my parents to get started and now after 2 windows I have paid them back, plus earned $100. I have 12 or 13 windows to make by the end of october.
Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

How do you make stained glass windows? Got some pictures? Would like to see what you've made.

Next window Should be done by wednesday, I'll get pic's at that time. I haven't taken pic's of the windows that I have made so far. These are really botched directions but find a pattern cut the glass to the lines of the pattern then sand all of the edges of the glass down, wrap the edges of the glass with foil and sodder the foil together. I can make a detailed list of how to make a window if you would like. The "windows" that I make are just in frame that you nail infront of an exterior window but for interior windows the frames that I have work pretty good. My girlfriends dad makes them for me.
