I just picked up a 93 arctic cat jag 440 for pretty cheap as my "low or no snow sled" so i dont trash the tcat on half inch of snow haha (half inch in ohio is like a foot in places that actually get snow), anyway its got some pretty gay custom paint on the hood, and i was wondering if there was a way to remove that without runining the paint on the hood, the hood itself is pretty much immaculate so i dont want to trash that, but i dont know if i can ride a sled around that says "kitty cat" on it haha

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

you could just lightly wet sand it and paint over it with something dark i dont think you would have to take the old paint all the way to cover up a bad paint job if its going to be your sled you ride in the dirt anyway

I dont do wal mart, but thats another topic, anyway I wouldnt thinkt hat a paint stripper would be good for the hood underneath the paint, but i got it figured out, ended up using a 3000 grit sanding disc out of a headlight restoration package, I wetsanded painted area , cleaned it off, hit it with some polish and she was good to go, cant tell anything was ever painted on it, and didnt get into the clearcoat or the paint on the hood at all
