Hello all, well i sold my old RMK and bought an 09 Nytro XTX. This sled has an upgraded 144" x 1.75" x 15" track, a float plate, and some mountain skis, just wondering if anyone out there has an XTX and how they think this one will perform?

Its a fun sled! We had the first nytro in 08, tested on it all year and got it really good. Bought the 09 xtx last year and it was amazing right outta the box.

For a second I thought this was "RMKing", then I realized it was "RMKKing".
Just had to throw that out there.

Ya i had to apologize to RMKing because i never realized he already had that name, and it was too late to change it.

I have an 09 XTX as well and I absolutely love it! I can tell you with that 1.75 track it's gonna be amazing off trail but will lose some speed on the top end. I swapped out my skis last season, anybody with a Yamaha will tell you to do the same if you go off trail at all! Oh yeah and the hand warmers are hit or miss, mine suck! Other than that it's an amazing sled, no slouch on the lake either, I saw 185 km/h(115mp/h) on the speedo last winter, GPS was 181 km/h I do believe.

I run an 09 Nytro MTX... I have ridden in revelstoke BC with all my boys, they run M1000's, Dragons, Revs and I would have to say that overall I like my sled the best... I have not had any issues with the sled, it is by far the best on fuel, and it boondocks like mad (although it took some getting used to the balance of the sled)... I have had sleds ever since my first ET 250 way back in the 80's and by far this is the best sled I have had... Price is a bit higher, but factor in fuel and maintnence and I am sure it will balance out...

I just bought the Nytro XTX last week. I can't wait for snow here in Michigan to try this thing out. It sounds great and I bought it for the low maintance also.
115MPH hummmm . I guess i will have to wait for awhile to I try to top it out. New motor must be broke in right.

I got 700 miles on mine. Its a good sled, you'll love the torque and power. It will take some time getting use to the weight coming off of a Polaris--I had a Pro-X 440 race sled trail converted and 03 800 RMK before I went to the Nytro. A few suggestions for you: larger hand gaurds or the Skinz brand if you want your hands to stay warm, teflon coat the tunnel(minus the headers and muffler) or you will be vibrating and chunking snow biscuits out all day, trail tank in you ride in some good powder--even though it is a 4-stroke, in the powder it will still suck down the fuel in a 7.4 gallon tank quick, a clutch kit as the stock cluthes preload badly and result is some whiplash takeoffs, some hyfax saver wheels or ice scratchers cuz you'll burn through hyfax fast if you are forced to ride a lot of marginal snow, if the skis are still Yamaha brand mountains I'd look at some kind of powder pro, and keep the float plate on no matter what or everytime you let off the throttle the front end nose dives hard and it will completely blind you with powder as the lack of what I refer to as "a belly pan" won't stop the snow from coming over the hood.
