Hey guys,

I brought out my sled yesterday and it looked horrible! It definitely needs a wash and wax before it goes in to get fixed. Is car wash and wax ok to use on a snowmobile? I have Armor all and carnuba wax, along with I think turtle wax and a brand new car cleaner, is that all ok to use on a snowmobile?

Thanks,
Ryan

For the tunnel use Blue Magic Polish it works wonders amn seriously if you try it you will be amazed for sure!!! And for the hood use Wizards buffing compound and your choice of wax!!

I use just regular turtle wax and it works great but if you are just looking for a quick shine you can use furniture polish although it does not protect very well.

I actually use a good quality foaming glass cleaner (if it's not too bad), then a coat of Turtle Wax Platinum. Blue Magic Leather Cream Conditioner on the seat. 3M Chrome and Metal polish for the tunnel.

tutrle wax on all the plastic like the hood makes it look incredible. Mothers alluminum polish on the tunnel makes a nice mirror and soap and water works to, and anykind of degreaser under the hood

Why not try a self service car wash- use the engine degreaser and then spray it off. Wipe away excess grime and repeat. That has worked well on my machines and vehicles before I sell them.

I have a Harley with alot of expensive parts and chrome, also bare aluminum. If you have a Harley dealer around your place go there and get a spray bottle of "S-100" it's in a white spray bottle and safe for all surfaces. You can do it in your driveway with a garden hose. Just spray on and wait and spray off after a few minutes. It's safe for all under hood areas , rubber elctric areas. I have alot of money in my bike so I don't just put anything on it and I've already done it to my sleds.
