It's a snowmobile made to run on the snow. It's not a lake runner or a powder sled. It is set up for trail riding.

the xcr 600 is not a heavy sled. It was very light weight in it's day. I loved it. It was and is a very quick trail sled. I had mine set up very well. it was like it was on rails. I do miss it at times. It is a very off trail sled if the rider knows what they are doing.

Quote no 640 pounds with me of it. idk where that extra weight came from though
The weight came from fluids added to the sled, anti-freeze, chain case oil, and the biggest being the Gas and oil it runs on. When they list the weight of the sleds they list them as dry weight.
you sleds listed dry weight = 476 Pounds
164 more pounds must be with a full tank of gas...

nobody called you fat,,,,You are huge for you age and I bet are a hell of a ball player.
Our Detroit Lions could use you!!!!!
There are certain things that "US" large fellows, can not do as well as smaller people, without first obtaining skill and more power. For a trailable powder sled I would suggest a SKS or RMK..They are not lake racers though. If on a limited budget, you could also long track your XCR. I would go with at least a 1 1/4 track

you took your sled to the truck stop?
youre sled is designed for aggressive trail riding(in its day)
X=cross C=country R=racing
obviously its design is seriously outdated, this is not knocking your sled. i love the old wedges and love to see them still on the trails!
And they still make excellent sleds for certain purposes and for economically getting into the sport as prices are reasonable and repair parts are abundant new and used.
