The people you talk about are the reason I got rid of my bike. Getting pushed off the road once and almost hitting the back of a parked van was enough for me. The sad thing is I love to ride, but it's not worth my life. I've been thinking about getting another, but keep thinking about those two situations I was put in and decide nope, not gonna happen. I've known too many people that landed in the hospital or dead because of this.

^^^ I have that same conversation with myself about once a month. The want to ride always seems to win out though. I use that fact that most drivers seem to be oblivious to their surroundings to always be scanning for escape routes, give triple looks at intersections, and to try and put myself in the most visible location while on the road.

It is a lot easier to lumber down the road in my full-size truck though. It seems harder for people to miss a silver colored school bus coming at them.
