Can I get some info on this ride the last week of January? Isabella and where is everyone staying?
Knotted pine,Want to share a cabin?
Glen, are you and your son staying the entire week? I don't think a week is in my plans at the moment. Knotted Pine in Isabella? What's the room rate?
I plan on going up on Thursday till sunday, even if you want to stay one night that would be fine.
http://www.knottedpine.com/rates_winter.html
I usaully get cabin 4 so depends on # of people we get to a cabin, you can figure about $25.00 a night.

Price is fine with me, now let me see if my youngest son will go on the ride. He is attending Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, and need to find out his schedule. In any case, it's about 2 hours to Isabella for us from Nashwauk. Are you staying at Grease Monkeys in Proctor? I should check to see if I could ride to Isabella from Nashwauk!! Never done that one b4, been to Ely with the Greenway sled club and Fortune Bay. Anyways, let me know what John has planned, and where the riding is taking place, I have 4 SKS700 long tracks, so off trail is what we like, MINUS THE ROCKS AND STUMPS OF COURSE!! Can't remember the name of the hole in the wall place that sells the Moose Burgers, but great stop!!Did you ever stretch the footprint on your sled?

After you ride that 500 twin with Edge chassis, you will most likely sell that "Boat Anchor" and get yourself a 700 Twin that will really make yah smile!!!

what days do we want that cabin? i was thinking of going down there 1 or 2 days earlier just to make it a little more worth it. was thinking get there wed night sled thursday, friday, saturday and home sunday. Does that work for you erick? Darrin you wanting to bunk up for the weekend. I am by no way saying that the rest of you have to stay that long but it makes more sense for me as its about 530miles each way for me to get there. So a few extra days of sledding would be nice.
If it was cabin 11 i will book it asap. just let me know who wants to crash with us and what your plans are.
cheers

Last year we drove out on Wednesday and rode on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Worked well for me.
We'll stay in touch on getting down there. I'm pretty sure Cody will get a sled and I know he's gonna wanna go.

COOL! If thats the case there would be 4 in my truck which should be no problem as i will be able to toss to sleds on the new deck for my truck and still have plenty of storage space under the deck.
cheers

^^
We'll see about the driving situation, if Cody comes along and Erick needs sled transportation again we may take my truck and bring our two sleds and his two sleds since he always has some home-built thing that might break (or Darin might need to steal parts off of, or Cody may need to ride cuz he always blows sleds up...)
That will all need to be sorted out, but we've got time for that!

Yes, I went back to the stinky 2 strokes. Here is my new toy for this year. 2005 600 Switchback. Only 2000 miles on it. The Yammi was just too much high dollar maintenance in my opinion. Plus it just isn't made for off trail playing that I like to do. Have some work to do on the Classic, then the Switchback is going on the hoist for a complete check up and a little bit of fluffing and buffing(and some powder coating). Now that the summer is winding down, so is the trucking. Maybe now I'll have some time to get everything done before it's time to ride. The mighty Vacationaire is going up next weekend for the winter so we have a home away from home. Motor is installed and just a few more things to do and it's ready to go. Trying to get 20,000 miles on the odometer. Maybe this year???

Saturday night as of right now, my son doesn't get his college schedule yet for 2010 Winter semester. Would like to get Friday there too, but have to wait

Top end on a 700 Grease? Were they the 824 casts? The switchback is certainly a ride you will enjoy this season

Top end on a 700 Grease? Were they the 824 casts? The switchback is certainly a ride you will enjoy this season
