You came here for advice on a sled that needs to be in a certain price range. Well, here it is. Buy that 440 sno pro. You said $1,200 is your limit. He will sell it to you for that price. You said you wanted a ditch banger. the 440 is just that. What else can you ask for? Your not going to get a ditch banger that does 115 mph unless you spend serious money. Buy that sled and be done. Its an ABSOLUTE STEAL.

Its funny people will come on to a snowmobile forum and make ridiculous claims like that, thinking we will believe them? Its one thing to tell your neighbor your sled will do 127mph, they might believe it. But most people over 15 on a snowmobile forum are going to know you are full of ****.

^^^ I am older than 15 But you did want a ditch banger, and the 440 is one of the best that I have seen. look if you want to go fast and be a ditch banger at the same time sell your sled and get a 600, 700 or 800 but if you want to go through any thing on trails the 440 is your machine but if you want to go fast buy a triple or high performance twin. PS you are not going to go 127. like said above an F7 with mods won't go that fast the only way you are going to go that fast is if you get a pure modded out Ice racing sled but it will not be pleasant on trails.

SLP ceramic coated pipe with SLP can

4 inch pivot riser
Gutted Air Box
EPI clutch kit soon to be installed
Maybe some pro tapers
1998 XC 700 water-cross sled

Some light weight parts
Water-cross mods include taking the parts u do not need
This includes removing the seat replacing gas tank and IFS bars.

ok that was a lil adsaturated, but it will hit 115 on ice alone with no snow. But I am looking at a 2001 sno pro in fredricson which is only an hour and a half away not 5 hours, the guy origanaly wanted 1200 but i talked him down to 700, its missing a wind shield, it has powder hound skiis, less than 300 mile on new top end and it has brand new fox shocks in the rear. if you say they are good ditch baning sleds than i think this is the one i want

First of all, 115 is as big a load of sh** as the 127. Second, why would you want a clapped out sno pro with a freshly blown motor, missing this, missing that?
You remind me of someone....are you in Maine by chance??

All you need to relize is how you really ride i bought my pro-x 440(its a fanner even which everyone say is bad but i have seen they actually not that different except for top speed)but mainly bought it because its a great ditch-banger and you dont have to go 80+ in the ditchs...if you do i dont know how you ditch bang really unless you are trying to die. just test drive a newer style sled and you will probly be happy enough with anything newer haha.

I had a 2000 440 SnoPro and those things are awesome sleds. VERY quick holeshot and they are super light and have decent suspension. Sold it for $800 but it wasn't in as good of shape. If I were you I'd consider giving him $1200, I had a lot more fun on a 440 on trails than I did a bigger bore sled IMO

Not sure, but I do know that the stock oil tank is pretty small so you might be better off just keeping it the way it is, then you have the piece of mind that the pump will never fail.
