Not sure, but I do know that the stock oil tank is pretty small so you might be better off just keeping it the way it is, then you have the piece of mind that the pump will never fail.
That's half the reason I premixed it....I love premixing actually. I KNOW the engine has oil and it gives consistent jetting. The other is I lost the tank or threw it away during a clean up for some reason. My buddy had a total engine failure from a little bit of condensation in his oil tank, which froze in the feed line. The result was not pretty and ever since I've not been a fan of injection. 1 quart oil, 10 gallons fuel, 40:1....simple as that. Quote originally posted by zecow224
ok, but i have a question, how hard is it to put the oil pump and container back on the sled, right now it is pre mix.
Easy. Has three fittings. 1 under each carb boot and one on the bottom side of the case in the center. I'll show you.

ok that was a lil adsaturated, but it will hit 115 on ice alone with no snow. But I am looking at a 2001 sno pro in fredricson which is only an hour and a half away not 5 hours, the guy origanaly wanted 1200 but i talked him down to 700, its missing a wind shield, it has powder hound skiis, less than 300 mile on new top end and it has brand new fox shocks in the rear. if you say they are good ditch baning sleds than i think this is the one i want
wtf lol before you said it was $1000 and you talked him down to $700.Now the sleds up to $1200.which one is it there chief?

Hm. Learn how to pre-mix, it will be the best thing you've ever done. Sno-X-treme mixes 40:1, where as I always mix 33:1 to be safe.
440's are not fast sleds, they are built to get the holeshot, and take a hard beating, that's it. Oh yeah, and once you learn how to ride it good, they handle great.

I'm dumbfounded why you want a RACE sled that you need to mix gas when you talk about the long rips you take. You'd better strap an extra can on the back of this thing if you buy it. How much for this 02? I guess it really doesn't matter if it's over budget if you've been BS'ing this whole time anyway. I'm thinking that's the case or you would've bought sno-xtreme's sled. NO ONE turns a sled down cause it doesn't have a speedo. I spent over 10 g's on one with no speedo or odometer. I even have a pic.

Technically he didn't like I couldn't say how many miles it had. And he thought I was pulling a fast one because I just rebuilt it and am selling it now. I had told him the entire story about how I bought it with a bum piston and was going to fix it to waterx it, then I moved away for the summer so it just sat. After I got back I fixed it and went through it like it was my main sled. There's no sense in hanging onto a sled all winter which I won't ride to maybe play with it next summer. Ride the Rev, or ride the ZR...hard choice. The real deal is a few hours before he backed out he posts about still working on getting money together. He'll end up with a $700 turd and then will be posting about how it broke.

Lots of people say this but it's still at my place I've had all sorts of funny offers....I wrote a few in my diary so I could laugh at them later. Zacks initial offer was one of those....I told hit to get bent Like I said, he'll probably end up with a $700 gem and start posting about it breaking and being a pile.

Elk Lake, as in by Elk Creek?? My buddy lives there. I think that lake would be pretty sweet to go skipping on.

Gonna be interested to see how this turns out, and how many laughs I get out of it. The whole 127 thing gave me a laugh, the fastest sled I've seen was a tcat 1k did 108 mph on around trail condition measured by a radar chrono. Probably does 65-70ish tops all of the 500s at our radar run only did around 80.

Yup. I live right on the lake. Im the house right next to the beach. We have skipped it but during the late winter. Sunk one sled and that's it so far. It's open water right where the creek comes in and my buddy lives right by the mouth so I was thinking just fly off his lawn and hopefully go along from there haha.
What I love about it is the lake is the beginning of the trail and I have the best playground ever. When the lake is all snowmobile tracks, guaranteed 98% of them are mine.

No clue where the beach is. I know where the boat launch is. He lives up on 390th ave....drives a purple ranger with a bunch of lettering on it, his brother has a new style red mustang with white stripes.

Wow, you complain about trying to keep a frickin panzer in the ditch and you end up getting another frikin panzer
-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

Good call, Snow X let me sell off one of my kids or my wife and ill come take your sled :-p would save me a ton of fab work to make a banger out of my 91 indy :( but I suppose selling kids is illegal so I am stuck with what I own. ;-) Quote originally posted by zecow224 ya i found a 97 xcr with an m10, C&A pros, new track.
