I am going to be ordering carbides soon in either 8" 9" or 10". They are going to be used for glare ice riding and was wondering what brand/size do you think work best (XC700 with 144 studs). Thanks!

For ice riding I don't think 2 inches will make a big difference. The 144 studs will obviously help with traction. I'd take the 10". I personally use 6" studboy's on my slydog powderhounds on my F7.

I'm using 6" Stud Boy Shaper Bars on my SlyDog trail skis. Plenty of grab. Now my riding is not really glare ice riding, so I'm not really sure what I'd recommend for that.

10" competition bars if mainly running on ice. manufactor doesn't matter much.

I do alot of trail riding so I use 7.5" stud boy shaper bars.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

10" Accord's on My Ice machine, and 9" StudBoy Deuce bars on My trail machine.
If you're interested in the Accord's, go to www.johnmaster.net
John is in East Troy, and has really great price's.
Or you can probably find him at the Milwaukee Snow Show next weekend.
