so i got my can on today! she sure looks nice under there..
but i do have a question.
when i have it on and idling you can hear a difference but when i lift her up and hit the throttle you dont notice a difference....
How many mile break in period do you think the SLP can has? there is only 100 miles on it soo thats why i ask...
and even though it was around 45 degrees and no snow on the ground you should be able to tell a difference correct?
thanks in advance

that's how the ones I have been around are. a nice bark at idle but quiet when you are on it.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

You should be able to hear the difference when you open up. On most cans anyways. I've never heard a SLP can in person so I can't really speak for it. Some cans are made to bark at idle..then when you accelerate it'll stay quiet for the trails restrictions.

The ERA 2000 can (what you and I have) are rather loud and snappy at idle then around 6-7000 RPM will quiet down. They are still loud but mostly have a nice deep tone. I know when i'm out on the trails if i'm really on the gas and come into a corner and let off, it will pop and "crackle" a little bit like a pickup with dual exhuast does.

If your looking for a loud tone from idle to max RPM, Go with a MBRP(race can) or sno-stuff rumble pack silencer.

at least give it a chance. Its going to sound much different under load and when the powervalves kick in. On a trackstand at 4k its not going to sound too loud. Any other can on an edge besides SLP is gay anyway

typical.. righting it off and trying to trade it before he even uses it... sounds like someone else that runs around this place......
if you want it louder, the forget the can and just run a straight pipe out the bottom, then it will be nice and loud for you....

I wouldnt go that far..
Also, with my experience with an slp they are not all the noticeable in noise difference. Thats why people buy them because they give it a deeper tone but not much different from stock. It will sound better off of a track stand though.

Yes thats true. If he wanted a loud, annoying, obnoxious sounding sled, he got the wrong can. Better trade it in for a sno-stuff.

Mine seems louder to me both at idle and when you get on it.
