So I moved out here Upstate NY, to attend Great Lakes Maritime Academy. I have been asking around and getting some information, but I am wondering were there is good riding. Looking for anything... free ride spots, trails, parking. Google search yielded some results, but i was wondering if there was any local hide outs. Or peeps in the area looking to ride.

Here's a map of your immediate area. From there you can access all the trail maps.
NW lower peninsula trails
I rode up there last winter and had a blast. Michigan is all about speed though IMHO. You have to make the run to the Mackinac bridge...best long ride I've made snowmobiling. Michgan's does a fine job grooming trails.

I grew up in TC...my rents still have a place in Lake Ann and I am at there house at least two weekend a month in the winter. The trails on the west side of town never get that much traffic. I will let you know when we are up to ride.

Well I'm from T.C. also I live in colorado right now cause im in the army. I will be coming home for a couple of weeks in late december if skilie301 and krss144 want to get out and hit the trail I know some pretty good ones. I prefer some of the non groomed but I know all of the groomed state trails if thats what you prefer. let me know.

If your every riding around the gaylord or Alba area up there, its about an hour away, let me know I'll see if I can get up there and show ya some sick spots to ride. I know a lot of rough trails, powder, smooth trails and such around the Gaylord area. I don't know of any freestyle spots though, I think the closest public one would be The Evolution Sled Park in the U.P.

Traverse city is my favorite place! Look at a map I have a cabin in mancelona. Arguably the best snowmobiling in lower Mi. Im up at least 2/3 weekends Always lookin for riding partners.

I heard that its the wide and fast out here, but some guys say that there are some awsome spots to just freeride, state land im assuming?
Do any of yall have facebook? definatly a great way to shout out about getting together to ride quickly
