I need to get some new snowpants this year, and was just wondering what you all have.
Why do you like what you have?
What don't you like about what you have?
Thanks

Pants are easier for bending over and for going to the bathroom, and you don't have the straps diggin into your shoulders.

We have always worn bibs. They are warm and stay up easily. But out buddy that my brother and i ride with has a pair of pants, and he loves them more than bibs. They just look lighter and more flexible, bibs really arent that good if you are moving around a lot. Plus they look easier to get on and off. If i cant fit into my bibs this winter, they are a couple years old, i might look into a set of pants because i want to see which one i like better..

Bibs ftw.
I have HMK Action pants. They are actually a bib style that have a removable back/straps, so they can be worn as pants or bibs. I tried the pants style. They have a better chance of getting moisture (snow/water) to your body. As a pant, they can fall down easier, or can catch on the running boards and be pulled down. A bib will not be able to be pulled down or fall down due to the shoulder straps. Long story short, bibs keep the snow out of your ass!
Like I said, I have the HMK Action pant and wear them with the straps (as bibs per-se). I have no complaints about them. I have always been warm and dry at the end of my rides. They also have a removable liner, which is nice for the really warm days. Well worth the money in my book!

I wear the comp 3 bibs and Coat from Arctiv.a I like these bibs because they go up my chest and it is nice that they are like this because I can wear my coat un-zippered and not get cold also they have bib and coat connectors, on them also the jacket is a warmer version of the comp 3 rr which are uninsulated mine is insulated also I can fit a tek-vest under it and not worry about it being tight. Also when the coat is un-zippered the bibs do a very good job breaking the wind I like my blue Arctiva comp 3 setup and I have no complaints.

i sport the carhart 2 peace when im around town(carheart arctic rated bib and a carheart regualr jacket, and when im goin on a long ride ill wear the carheart bib witha regular winter jacket. if it is real cold ill wear pj pants but i usually only wear my boxers. i went on a ride in northern NH and the tv was having emergency reports saying to STAY INSIDE due to cold, they said -60 with the wind chill and i went riding the next day. it was -30 and i was not cold and all i had on were the carheart bib and pj pants and a winter snowboarding jacket and t shirt. the bib i got is pretty big and i can move around pretty freely. and my butt doesnt hang out anymore and get really really cold from snow coming up from the back.

bibs. I tried pants, was getting snow down my back alot. I wear the bib straps loose, no digging in the shoulders and I get added warmth from the upper fabric.

I tried it 1 time also. zippers don't seal at all. My carhart arctic pants were very slippery. I had a hard time staying on.

^^^ yeah pants are pants but when it comes to being warm my arctiva comp 3 bibs are kings at doing that and not letting snow go down the crack and preventing a snow burn on the crack Mine are the exact same thing as this pair right here

I've never tried pants because I don't like snow in my jacket lol. Last year I finally gave up and spent the big bucks on Klim bibs, best money I've spent on gear. I was so impressed I bought their boots and currently looking for a new jacket for this season, probably gonna be a Klim jacket. High priced but worth every cent, you get what you pay for.
When hell freezes over I'll ride there too!!

Pants. I am too warm in bibs. My Castle jacket has an extra long backside so I never get snow down the pants. I also don't ride where there is a lot of powder. If I did, I would consider the bibs.

i wear a set of "pure polaris" bibs, they are the warmest and most comfortable that ive had yet, plus i dont have to worry about the snow dust going down my a$$ crack like i would with pants.
days get shorter, nights get longer, snow gets deeper, life gets better
