Next time I am in the market for new gear I will buy klim radium boots and And Klim every thing else

I used to say that too until it was actually time to buy new gear. Not hard to drop $1000 on gear when you have $300-$400 jacket and bibs, and $250 boots. I couldn't justify doing it. You can save some cash finding sales during the off-season, but the Klim stuff is still not cheap. (My two-bits.) In your case, I wouldn't plan on upgrading that much for another 5 years at least. You'll want to make sure you're done growing before you fork out that kind of money...

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

I wear an Ice Armor suit. The set comes with bibs and a jacket. There are a lot of pockets and also pads in the knees and a$$. Great for ice fishing and riding which are my typical winter activities.

I tried pants b/c they are more flexible, but they slip down too often.

I have both bibs and pants.. This is how it works for me.. On those really cold days (no sun and overcast with maybe some wind) wear some bibs.. I think they are much warmer and when the wind is blowing the snow all around, its less likely to blow up and inside your coat and get you wet. On the sunny nicer days (more like spring riding) I wear the pants. Not quite as warm as the bibs, but on a nice day they dont need to be.. They are easier to move around in so on the wamer days you dont over heat.

Bibs- Warmer, cover more, but not easy movement (use on cold weather days)
Pants- Still warm, but cooler than bibs, much easier movement (use on warmer weather days)
