Well, got one case almost apart, except for one already pre-stripped bolt! This motor has been rebuilt by someone stupid. Different size bolts were used putting the crank case back together ( 10mm, 11mm, and 13mm holding the 2 together ). The extra case is definitely NOT usable. It has a nice 5" crack going right up the blown side. Something tells me it ran a little lean and blew.

^^^^^I wouldn't doubt that is the cause of the leaned out cylinder on the one motor.

I wouldn't be cutting any corners with those pistons either. I looked your pictures over for a long time and I wouldn't think twice about putting new ones. The leaned out one is hooped with all the pits in it form the aluminum bouncing around, the one piston that is all covered in rusty **** I would be getting rid of it looks like it was exposed to the environment for a long long time, as for the other two I see a lot of scoring and scuffs on the scurts which would make me a little worried about putting them back in there.
