My current setup on my '02 Silverado. (2) 10" MA Audio subs in a SubThumb down-firing box, being fed 450 watts via a Rockford Fosgate Power 450s amp.

Sub enclosure, seat up
Sub enclosure, seat up
Sub enclosure, seat down
Sub enclosure, seat down

The subs are only half of a system though. I'm also running a MB Quartz DSC450 amp pushing a set of Phoenix Gold RSd 6.5" components up front and Polk DB series 4x6" plates in the rear. All this hooked to a Kenwood Excelon KDC-693 HU. Not going to win any competitions, but gets as loud as I need, and is clear the whole way up.

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

Used to get VERY extreme back in the day, tearing out interiors, cutting out holes in doors, custom kick pods, walls behind the front seats, etc. My 2009 Audi TTS isn't going to have the same fate as many of my other vehicles - it's staying stock and in one piece.

I've never had a problem with them. I actually purchased them used from my High School science teacher...his son wanted to sell them. I purchased the subs in a dual enclosed box with a Mobile Authority amp for cheap. I had a set of MTX Thunder6000's in my old Ford, and was going to use those, but the MA's are a 4ohm DVC, and can wire them into a 4ohm load to match the amp.

With that being said, even with a mere 450watts going into them, they will get PLENTY loud inside the small cab of a pickup.

Whatever the stock Sony Premium Sound package puts in a 2010 F150. I think the case says 700W on it.

I don't care. Sounds good and I have never had any interest in car audio. Whatever is in it from the factory is good enough.

Ah, I miss those days. Been too broke to do anything with my new car. Although I do get a nice consolation (sp?) prize, I get to play with audio systems ranging anywhere from 15,000 to 100,000 watts (That's 140 hp worth of sound for anyone's curiosity). Sadly, it's only on the weekends.
