I would say look at the 509 Goggles they have. They look to be built right. For a helmet I would say pretty muchy anything will work.
If you cant fix it with duct tape, tylnol, or band aids your screwed.

went with a cheapo, a answer 09 nova, had some amazon gift certificates from a couple months ago that i'd yet to use, so i ended up paying 11.99 for this helmet shipped haha, im going to get a pair of 509 sinister goggles and try it out, if id ont like it i'll have a sweet helmet for quad riding next summer
I've got a new orange, white and black arctic cat jacket that it should go pretty good with, and about any of those 509 goggles should look pretty badass on it, i'll get a pic of the whole setup once i get the goggles and helmet in

I've got 2 Mx helmets and a typical sled helmet, but i'm just wondering if at 100mph on the lake how much the visor is going to want to pull my head back?
it will pull back alot. only thing I hate about them. I hit the neg button instead of the reply. sorry about that.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Decided I'm going to try out a mx style helmet this season as oppossed to my brp modular, can I buy just any mx style helmet and throw a breath deflector in it and call it good? There's not as much of a selection of snow specific open face helmets and id like to wear it in the summer time on a quad, any suggestions?
I didn't read through all the posts but unless it's super cold I don't even use a breath deflector. Just a good facemask. I bought one of the klim one's last winter. IMO not worth the cash and I think they get slimy. I like the thin fleece ones. Any helmet should work but I'd try to get one made specifically for sledding since it may have a goggle opening designed to fit the larger sled goggles. Here's mine....
