I DONT know about your fusion, but i did a jet change in mine, and clutch kit...and stock it pulls plenty fast the way it comes top and bottom,so i figured why waste all the $$$$,just to squeeze out a few extra ponies...if you want more juice upgrade to a larger cc...for me,im not the lightest guy,and yet it moves my big ass down the trail awfully quick @ 120 hp...cheers

^^^Thats what the 660 kit is, an upgrade to bigger cc's.

The 660 kits out there are between 130 and 140hp. Contact the shop you feel makes the best one and get the specs directly from them. Then you'll even have tuning and clutching info to set it up right.

Is it worth the money for the 660 kit?

Polaris37 did you notice a big difference when adding the SLP pipes? My buddy just got his in the mail two days ago and I cant wait for snow to fall to see if $650 is worth all 10hp from the pipes...?

I was over at his house last night giving him some jets and he is going up 4 sizes, I gave him a 490 and a 500. I had to go up 4 sizes just for that SLP Airhorn.

the 660 kit is worth the money, but you already have the pipe reeds and airbox upgrade, slp makes a kit for the 660, but it comes with most of the stuff you already have, im guna be putting in the 660 kit in my sled also, but they also make a 727 kit for the fusion too, you could go real big if you wanted to. but in my opinion the 660 kit is awesome, and im surprised how far you went up on your jetting, i have the slp pipe on my dragon and im still one size down from factory, but where i live in wisconsin the last few rides it was pretty warm out

i also noticed you put on the 136 kit on your sled, im in the process of ordering that from tracksusa, do you like the kit you have and can you tell any difference in how it rides

i believe 727 kits are designed for high elevation not sure if anyone has tried them down low,i'm at sea level.136 kit makes sled feel completely different, better all around.i used polaris kit, only issue i had was overheating so i flipped my cooler completely around so that it was to flap again, added couple switchback parts to rear for looks and done.

Yes the 727 kit is intended for high elevation. I don't know of anyone that has tried it at sea level either.

The 660 kit doesn't have the 150 hp that the 727 has, but a 130-140 hp is still more then the stock sled has. I would get SLP's kit seeing how you have a lot of their products already on there, they will work like stock with one another only giving you the extra power.

that 136 kit looks awesome, cant wait to get it on my sled. im just wondering if we could get the different jugs and pistons alone from slp seeing as you and i both have all the other upgrades for the 660 kit, guess we just have to call slp and see for ourself, let me know how your mod goes, ive been looking to get a high comp head for my sled for a long time, but just cant find anyone that has one

I had this kid who came up to me this past summer, stated he works for cycle worx in upstate NY - telling me about how the 660kit is 165hp and Im laughing at him knowing he was trying to BS'ing with me. He was stated he works for them and that he "knows" how many hp the 660kits are and I told him that lve looked at 660 kits aftermakets and its closely 135hp range. He was stated that "they" were doing a special project, secret motor work and produced 165hp out of this race motor for this snowcross racing sled. Im like .... yea ..ok kid, go away so finally he left. Anyway guys / gals, dont let this 660 kit to leave you thinking its not enough. Believe me, this will outrun some of the 800s ... WL

My 660 rips pretty good but even with a hotseat single, VF3 reeds, SLP intake, its probably only around 138 HP. No where near 165 HP. Although maybe a race engine with porting, high compression, race gas, twin pipes, it would be possible.

The thing I love about the 660 engines is when set up right they make the same HP as a stock 800 VES, but are smoother than butter when revving.

The 600 HO probably makes more power as a 660 than my sled does though? Not sure

stock fusion--120 hp
slp say pipe + 10 hp
air horn kit + 2-3 hp
v-force + 2 hp ????

660 kit achieves they say 136 peak hp,am i buying a kit for 1-2 hp or are there other above numbers just out to lunch, though i do see very noticeable differences from stock.is it possible that 660 is making more than the claimed numbers,

For extra 30hp (to 165hp) isnt realistic as that kid was stated. Not in a 660 UNLESS he's not telling me hes using nitrious as a secret weapon. WL

I thought that the new 600 Snocross sleds were putting out a little over 150 HP? If the 660 was running twins and high compression like the 600 race sleds, it seems possible it could run 165 HP. I'm not saying this guy is right, but I don't think he's as far off as the guy on Craigslist right now that claims his Indy 400 goes 110 mph.

rubi, stock 600s is about 120hp - if a guy says 110 on his Indy 400, its because his dream-o-meter is way way off. I know because I rode my buddy's '88 Indy 400 across the lake one year and had it go over 100mph too. Speedo was way off. WL.

^^^I'm not talking about a stock 600. I'm talking about the SnoX race sleds that are ported and polished to the hilt, run high compression with pure race gas, and twin pipes. The 440 SnoX sleds were over 135 HP. Am I wrong? Somebody who knows what the race sleds have please answer, because I'm definitely not sure.

does anyone actually have the experience of having the above and then adding 660 kit after--if so what noticeable diiference if any.looking on paper for 2 hp i'm wasting my money but lots of guys rave about 660 kits.

Ported, polished, high compression heads, pipes - Id still stand - you wont bring it from 120 stock to 165hp unless youre running all of that stuff plus nitrious. Unless youre running higher CC. WL.

P37, its all depends on what you are looking for. I believe with a 660kit, its about $1,500 To get SLP pipes, airhorns, vf3 - IMO, Id say go for the 660 if you can afford it - trust me, you wouldnt be disappointed. Call Carl's Cycle to get more informations. He'd steer you to the right direction. WL.

I did my math on making the 600 all out full blown racing for snowcross - Ive came up with about between 145, maybe max up to 150. I dont see how that kid came up with 165. Doesnt seem right so I dont think you can gain that much out of a 600cc.
