I hope all here take the time to listen to that. I will send it along to as many as I can. Our freedom is not a petty thing. It's good to hear a good reminder like that!

That was really good. They don't teach you that in history class in elementary school.

Sure they do, but they def dont spend enough time on it. That's where I originally learned about our national anthem. Great video though.

Its sad how much most people take for granted. My brother is on his second deployment in Iraq right now helping to protect the rights and freedoms of a lot of ungrateful ignorant people.

Sorry for my little rant, this topic can be kind of a hot button for me at times. Great post Snowattitude.

They told me who wrote it, and he was in a boat when he wrote it, not all the gory details that make it all that much more important.

I had a US History teacher in particular who was obcessed with it. I think thats why it sticks out in my memory so well. It was also high school too. He was a great teacher and the topic was really important to him. He went into the same detail as the video and spent several days on the subject.

Excellent video!!!
I remember studying this in school, and people should never forget. Even when times are tough, like now,
THESE COLORS DON'T RUN

And I fly this with great pride:

God Bless America and God Bless every person doing their part to protect this land!!!

I remember learning about how it started as a poem but then eventually people started to sing it.

There were a couple small errors in the story but the basis was correct.

Nice reminder where the song came from.

I learned about it in history class but the teacher never went into that much detail. That is something that all Americans should be taught in school.

-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.
