i have progrip light sensitive goggles and they tint kindof purple when it is sunny and clear when there is low light.

I have gone through 2 lenses. The first one bubbled and you couldent see out of it and now the 1 i have doesnt tint anymore, its just clear all the time. If you take the lense out of the goggle the edges that were in the frame will still tint perfectley but the rest of the lense wont.

Its kindof annoying considering the lense itself cost 22$

I have a pair of orange lensed snowboarding goggles and I think they work great for bringing out things at night. It just makes everything look so much clearer.

When it's snowing hard and cloudy, blue is worthless. Makes conditions appear even worse than they are.

Yellow is good for overcast/cloudy days.

Clear is best for night riding.

I like orange for snowing dull days. Yellow is best for this but killer when the sun comes out. I really like my pro grip light sensative goggles. They are made for bikes/atv riding but work very well on sleds. No fogging at all with the single lens.

I have blue/chrome and arange with my 509's. They work well just a pain to change lens with cold fingers. I try to do at a bar or restaurant.

For this season I will be using a rose/red tint for sunny days (cut the glare greatly, but aren't dark if conditions change rapidly), and a yellow for overcast (seems to bring out the terrain better while brightening things up).

In the past I've been known to use blue tinted lenses. They were probably my favorite for really sunny, blue bird type days.

When it's snowing hard and cloudy, blue is worthless. Makes conditions appear even worse than they are.

Yellow is good for overcast/cloudy days.

Clear is best for night riding.

I second all of these... Blue is ONLY decent on perfectly bluebird, sunny days. Pretty much anything with a mirrored lens or dark tint is horrible in flat light conditions, but blue is especially bad.

At night, you need all the light you can get. Clear is the only choice for night riding.

I like a light amber (orange) colored lens for everyday use. If it is a light amber it still has enough tint to save your eyes when it's really sunny, but it still has high enough light transmission to be usable at night. It is really good in flat light, where only yellow might be a little better.
