I've got a xtra-10 rear out of a 1997 indy, It has skid extentions on it, but I don't know if it's 133.5 or 136. I should be able to measure from the drive axle to the rear idler axle right? Does anyone know what it should measure.
Thanks.

See if you can get a part# off the skid extensions and look it up.

I tried looking a bit, but I almost looks like someone took them to a shop and had the slides cut out and then welded in the extentions...

Im going to guess 136, i dont think many people extended from a 121 to a 133. 136 is the more popular one. But im sure someone has extensions an an extra 10 and can measure how long the extensions are, and you can just measure the length of yours.

That would be great if someone could do that for me.. I'm also guessing that it's a 136 but would like to know for sure.

I counted the windows on the track and did the math.. it's a 136... It doesn't have fox shocks on it now, but if I have a set of fox shocks off an xtra 10 121 will they fit into the 136?

It would almost look to me like maybe it was a 133 before and someone made there own extentions to go to a 136 track...
If anyone could help me on this it would be great.. Looking at buying a 136 track...

i think youre right. i think its a 133 that had custom extensions welded to it to make it a 136. because there was never 133 rail extensions that were available for sale, that i know of at least.

-holeshot skid plate
-fox reservoir front track shock
-fox front shocks
-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)
Just add gas and snow!

121" and 136" Polaris factory skid frames use the same shocks. Quote originally posted by Polaris_Parts_MN

If its a factory xtra 10, it came in 2 variations, 121" and 136". The early 90's sks sleds were equiped with 133.5" skid frames.

not only just the early sks/rmks used 133.5 skids. the early touring sleds used 133.5-inch tracks, both with the standard 8-inch skids and xtra10 skids.

Thanks guys. It's an xtra-10 for sure. Now the mounting wholes for this is going to be different if it was an 133.5 then a 121 or a 136 right?

Bought a 136 track today! Figuring to use this skid.. just need to figure out where to move the rear mounts. The fronts should be the same right?
