I was clicking around the internet in the bike world, and stumbled upon this.
http://www.buell.com/en_us/
I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Buells, even though I considered buying one when I was looking for a new bike. But this sucks. How is cutting a product line that appeals to the younger generation going to help sales? It just doesn't seem to make any sense.
Here's a news article from our local paper in Milwaukee.

Don't have the bike or the paper work anymore. notice I said "had". Don't remember what it was for hp or cc's. I was just stating it was dynoed at 9000 rpm. I said nothing about hp at crank or tire.
All I know is that is was a 1340 with a big bore kit and they pulled it to 9000 rpms and it held together.

I was hoping Buell would be bought up by someone, but I doubt they'd be able to use the HD twins. And watching the Erik Buell video clip and reading the FAQS on Buells website I got the feeling that Erik is under contract with Harley. He made a comment about continuing to help Harley design and manufaturing bikes. just my 2 pennies

never said imports are jap crap seeing as "we" gave alot of tooling to the japanese. The harley riders that I don't care for are the yuppies that portry they are bad asses and then come monday mornig the are business people.
Whats really funny is that all the guys I went to school with and friends that rode crotch rockets, now are riding Harleys. They all say comfort over speed. Sooner or later everyone switches over. Eventually your body decides for you, that you cannot sit in that position for a a long period of time.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.
