Looks good, my wife has a 99 600 also, I would like to extend hers. I did a 144" on mine. What are you going to use for a snowflap? I tried the stock one first and it was way to short, I ended up getting one from an IQ.

Clutched
Jetted, boyesen reed petals, boost bottle, 98xc carbs slides, 1371 needles, gutted air box
Homeade 7 1/2" riser
Homeade suspension drop brackets
shortened and blackened windshield
powermadd handguards
144 conversion, tracks usa extensions, custom tunnel extension and rear bumper, IQ flap, 1.25" track

that thing looks really good!!! i like the white hood!

umm, still not sure what im going to do with the snow flap, partially the reason why there is not one on there yet. thought about the IQ flap, but those things suck when you get stuck... have to dig those things out first b4 you can even get your hands under the bumper to lift.

what did u run for gearing??? that is the only thing that im worried about right now. not sure how the gearing will do. went from 22/40 to 20/41. Also did you change any of the clutching???

thanks

I have changed my gearing but just because I don't go for top speed. The trails I have around here are in wooded areas and you can't go that fast anyway. I don't think you will need to change your gearing, but ride it see how you like it and adjust from there. Also, with your new riser, you will need to be careful with how much you crank on the bars, the steering post on these Gen II sleds is a joke, it will bend just above the steering support, so be careful, mine is bent now.

yeah, im not going for top speed either, we got out to the mountains 2-4 times a year. so thats why i took and extended. i know i was goign to have to gear it down. but with the smaller drivers 7 tooth drivers i wasnt sure how low i should go with the gearing ratio. guess it will be a learn experience. is there anyway to strengthen the steering post???

nice. hope he got to do most of it himself. a lil guidance to help him out. i feel like i know my sled so much better sense i did this project. heck i even pulled the motor out to make it easier to work around when painting and taking it apart. im sure that wasnt necessary but it still was fun

For the couple of guys in this thread looking for snow flap ideas. Go to your local automotive store, napa, true-value whatever, and buy a truck mudflap. I mean the big mudflaps meant for semis. Trim down the sides a little bit and trim the top to fit by your bumper. They're heavy enough to keep the snow down but flexible enough to get out of your way when you're stuck. If I had a picture of mine before i tore my sled all apart this summer I'd post one up but I don;t think I do.

ok this is the best pic I have of it

Does that truck flap ever get sucked up onto the track? I have heard of some and seem some with stud marks in them, not necessarily truck flaps but some of the flexible ones. Just wondering, good idea.

I made mine long enough so that its always dragging on the ground a ways back form the track. If you have reverse then you might have a problem but I haven't run into any issues with it yet.

I wonder who you got the truck mudflap idea from, considering I have had one on my sled for two years now. They work great and are long enough for sleds that the ass ends site up high because they are very long.
