I have a problem.
I bought my 1998 zr 580 efi 2 years ago.
I drove it only once and it was on boxingday 2007 and has been sitting ever since , just this past weekend in october i went to see it at my parents place.
Like I said it was the 1st time I seen it in 2 years, anyway the day I road it everything was fine for the 1st 3 hours, it started on the 2nd pull and ran fine no problems at all or so I thought 3 hours into the ride I fowlled my pluggs and I replaced them once I got it running again I had less power and less speed, when we were closer to town we stopped and changed the pluggs a 2nd time after that it ran like nothing was wrong at all, Later that afternoon we when out again everything was good and about an hour in to the ride on our way back home my cat started to stutter and then it died.
I tried to start it again and the was nothing we changed the pluggs again and still nothing so I had to get it towed to the road where there was a truck waiting hauled it home and it has sat there since this past weekend . when I went to see it I put the key in and it started on the 4th pull it started like nothing was wrong I let idle for about ten minites the I moved the throttel and it just bogged down there was no top end it wanted to die when I moved the trottel.
The same gas is still in there I know its old gas.
Is there anything I should look for when I bring back to where I live.
Any help would be Great.

That's 2 year old gas! Throw that **** away. Gas from over the summer even tends to go bad. Add new fuel then try things out again.

Also check for spark, make sure the ends of the plugs touch the head.

First, like empire said, dump that gas and put fresh in. then check your fuel filter too, if you don't know the condition, just replace it, they are cheap. I had a world of head aches last season due to fuel filters plugging up ( but thats a whole different story!)

You may want to look in the air box, if it has been sitting mice may have made a nice home in the carbs, Had that happen to me two years ago, pitted the carbs, and left me with allot of clean up.

get new bushings in the throttle lever, on that sled there is some safety stuff on the carbs, you can make a bypass for the magnets in the carbs, find an old school cat guy in your area and he will be able to show you that.

well i got rid of the old gas and put in new gas/plugs and it wants to start.
It fires on 1 pull and then dies instantly?
IT ONLY FIRES WHEN I PULL the pulgs out then dry plug holes then put plugs back in.

well check your carbs its a possibilty that your floats are stickin and your flooding out which fouls your plugs so check carbs

Not sure if the carb switches apply to the efi system or not, but I'm guessing they are on there. I'm also guessing you can clean out the throttle body/bodies, but I have no clue where to start on those.

Definitely take out what gas you can, put fresh stuff in and dump in a can of seafoam.

Here's a link for the throttle bushings.

Update
well it starts on 1 pull now and it revs only up to 1800 RPM and not past.
I give it gas and it doesn't rev past 1800 RPM the track doesnt even move nothing.

Check all electrical connections. Make sure they are tight, clean, grounds are clean. Make sure no wires have worn through/are rubbing. Bypass switches. Check stator specs. Because it sat for so long it is probably a fuel related issue, but it could be electrical. This is how you check a stator:

gumed up injectors from varnished gas will cause the computer to go ape s*** and bad atomization of gas will flood the engine out...gas vapors is what is flamable not the gas itself ;p

stator would be worth a check, I don't know much about the new sleds, but my first sled was a '74 john deere 400 air cooled, the guy sold it to me for 25$ because he had spent 5 years on it and could not do anything but idle, he had replaced carbs and coils and cdi, in the end I found a bad stator, it had a high speed and a low speed coil all in one unit, high speed side was bad so it would idle all day long but would bog out if you tried to gas it up. found a NOS stator for $145 and it was of and running ( as much as an old 340 cc bogie wheeled sled can run :-P) good luck, make sure you let us know when you get it running right.
