for 2200, I could buy a second sled. Polaris dealers rebuild engines from the bottom up for about $1300 - $1500. You may want to take a second look at your prices.

What what, here at SF we don't jump on someone else for jumping on someone else's ridiculous prices? Oh I miss the days not so long ago where I would tell someone they were on crack for asking copious $$$ for a measly part, and I'd have 50 kids telling me "IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL".

Carry on freak139.

obvioulsy you dont know that the 99 700 xcr motors are the most highly sought after polaris triple especially a virgin one, they had the best porting layout made more power than the 800s that year and they are extremely rare, people are asking $1700 for ones with 4000miles on them this is a brand new crate motor from 99.

I love PM's from dicks like this guy: Kingrmk
obviously you have no idea what the 99 xcr 700 engines are used for and why the price is what it is. so do me a favor and mind your own god dam business

Just because you have a 10 year old engine that is "rare" that you stole from some back room some where, doesn't mean you can rob the nice guys of SF. when an engine sits that long, I can only wonder if it was stored correctly and whether there was a reason is sat for so long... etc

See look at this guy. What a dick! making fun of people for not having enough money for a better trailer or being able to put it inside.

Don't buy from this guy!

If the engine was stored un-oiled the crank has a good chance of having rusted and the bearings could be bone dry. Meaning, this entire engine would need to be disassembled and have the bearings checked.

Exactly, an engine never ran would more than likely be less reliable than a proven one pulled from a running sled. buying an xcr 700 and rebuilding the engine would be the same price as 2200

you were questioning if the motor was stored correctly and i was refering to your storage of your sleds, get a life, if your not interested in what the post is about theres no need writing anything about it in the first place.

your a jackass

I have a great life. forums are to discuss not only the pros of things but the cons. I'm sure you know all about cons don't ya?

sledfreak have you ever tried porting cylinders after the ports have been filled in with nicasil after the cylinders were replated?

fresh rebuild, half ur price. And I would still have the rest of the sled for parts.

Wow I thought you had to have more than 7 Post before you can be an ASS on here...you need to put some more time on here before you think your "Big Dick" and start telling people off.

Thats a lot of money for just the motor, if it was the entire sled then maybe, maybe sell it for your asking price. Good luck.

PS
you are right that those motors/sled are rare. Who ever bought those sled held on to them.

Most likely explains why you think people should pay that much for a motor that will have to be broken down and inspected before being used

It's funny how some random guys makes an account on here, tries to sell junk for way too much money, and then thinks that by being a complete ass he will get respect from this forum. HAHAHA Dumbass

They don't seem to be rare in my area, I have found about 10 on local craigslist ads... I'm sure they aren't perfect but they are available.
