I have 1991 polaris 488. I just bought it for $350. The guy said it was sitting inside and coveredn for 2 years. The sled is having trouble geting gas when it gets to certain rpms, but when i give it a little choke (causing more gas in to the the carbs)it runs great. I have cleaned the carbs and still having that problem.

I was thinking of ajusting the choke cable that goes into the carb, is this okay? Also, is there a way to alow more air into the carbs? Should i change the spark pluge wires?

PLEASE HELP ME!!

Check the spark plug wires, throttle cable adjustments and choke adjustments. And put new spark plugs in it.

^^^ If none of that works then you might want to looking into getting the stock settings for the air screws and set the carbs back up to where they should be.

call a dealer n get the stock settings of the screws on the carbs. also make sure that both of the slides on the carbs are adjusted rite. and use a new set of plugs.

watery gas did that to mine and i had to flush out everything from carbs to fuel pump to tank

good luck.
