Intercooled Procharger D1SC for my 88 Mustang GT. It's going to be a busy winter...

No this wasn't a camera trick, as soon as I opened the boxes this bright light shined down from the heavens and I begun to hear angels singing.

1999 Arctic Cat Thundercat 1000
1988 Mustang GT 5.0L / 1993 Mustang Coupe / 1993 Mustang GT 5.0L

Very nice. You'll have some fun with that. I just sold a Anderson b31 cam w/dyno time only. Would have worked good with that setup

I've already managed to shred through a set of Nitto 555R's this summer. Trips to the track about once a week all summer long will do that I guess. Best time so far has been 13.09 at 107. I've got a set of MT ET Drag slicks but the weather hasn't cooperated for me to try them out. I think I can get it into the 12's with what I got on it now. For this winter I've got a set of Performer RPM heads to install and Trickflow intake, I'm going to see how much air I can huff through it until the bottom end goes kaboom. Then its 408/427w stroker time.

My buddy was going as fast mid to high tens, but mostly ran 11.60 class. He was on a stock bottom end for three seasons, and some street miles. The motor just finally went a few weeks ago. Motor started getting blow by and just lost oil psi. All he has is a set of out of the box trickflow heads, victor jr. efi intake, vortech s-trim w/renagade piping, B-31 cam, and c-4. Car even had all stock ign. The stock bottom ends take a beating.

I'm thinking I should have an easy 11 second car. The D1SC's flow some serious air and the intercooler should help a bunch too. ATI claims about 85% efficiency on this kit if I recall correctly. I'm going to try and keep it somewhat conservative as well. I was thinking about a Lentech AOD but might just keep the T-5 in it until it lets loose, we'll see how far I can go until the money runs out.

Going to be an awesome ride. Your GT is the best color combo the had for those years. I've looked at a few here in Mi and they were trashed. I always wanted that body style.

Should not be hard at all. Pro Charger's have the best efficiency. Lentech makes a great aod, I've talked to a few guys at the track, that have them their cars were going high 10's-11.00. Keep the t-5 till it blows up, you'll have alittle more fun on the street with it.

Front seal leak? That just sounds like an excuse to put more high performance parts on to me :-)

Heh, I just dug up an '87 GT. Black, all original (except the z-rated tires) and 122k miles, and I put down a deposit..

It wasn't for sale, and never will be. The seller wants a new Z-28 next year and needs to make room in her garage, so I'll be causing the hole.

Well the head unit should be arriving at Procharger tomorrow. I bought what was said to be a "new" kit but turns out the head unit has been used. The seller gave me back a credit to send it to Procharger to get it rebuilt. I am going to have them put new seals in it for sure and we'll see what they say about the bearings but they didn't seem to be too bad when I had it apart.

I powdercoated the head unit a metallic silver. Started with chrome base/silver metallic clear/gloss clear. I don't think it looks too bad. It sparkles like crazy in the sunlight. I just took a picture with my cell phone so quality isn't the greatest but I'll take some more when I get it back.
