powerjet carbs have a jet on the top of the carb. regular carbs have the main jet in the bowl...

little confused, so powerjet carbs would be like whats on 99% of sleds today? and what I have is a regular carb?, i've owned about 25 random sleds over the last 20 or so years and the main jets always been in the same place except for these 3 carbs which have the main jet in the bowl itself, and a nozzle type deal where the main jet would normally go, if theres any special names for these carbs, let me know, trying to find the best way to explain it on ebay to get the right audience looking at them, i want to say there off a polaris tx , but i could be wrong

The plug that the arrow points to comes out and is about an inch long, and at the end of that a Hex Jet screws into that, which im assuming is the main jet, theres no hoses that go to the bottom of the bowl like on a set of vmax carbs, I believe its factory not a dial a jet setup because I got these carbs from 2 different sleds that i parted out, both polaris's if i remember right, I'll get some better pics tommorrow, thats just what i had on my computer for ebay I'm thinking of just listing them up as powerjet carbs because it sounds cool and may help them sell haha

I do a lot of selling on eBay. If your ad is misleading or the information is incorrect, the buyer can get their money back and ship it back to you at your expense. it is written in the contract when you signed up. Be careful because it is a pain in the ass!

They are Mikuni VM roundslides. If you have three of them I am willing to bet money they are 34mm and came off a Polaris Centurion.

Im pretty sure that they came off of a tx 440, i was going through some old pictures this weekend and had one of my old tx all apart and there was two of the carbs, and then i remembered trying to find parts for them and they werent easy, If they had come off of a centurion they'd be off for a cleaning , not to sell them haha, i wouldnt let one of them go

I will have to check my TX and see if it has carbs like that. I know the Centurions do. They arent hard to find parts for, they are a Mikuni VM carb, they use the same main jets, pilot jets, needle jets and needles as any other VM.

arctic used those in the 70 s on 73-74 tigers 400 and 440 cc i have herd them referd to as power jet merc used a similar version on twisters on thers you could actually adjust the main with a dail to rich or lean the mix
