Im looking at a 2003 MXZ 600 H.O. 136" but I dont know much about them. I know the guy selling it and it comes not running. The sled spun a bearing so the motor is out and he has a new crank for it. The rest of the sled is mint except for the back beaver tail( or w/e you might call it) which needs to be re-riveted because he didnt notice his kid playing around it one day and i guess the kid started jumping on it. He wants $3000 as-is for it with the parts to fix the motor. Doesn't really sound like a great deal to me but was wondering what you guys thought of it.

My plan was to just rebuild the 600 and sell it and get an 800, will the 800 bolt into that chassis?

Well worked with, no friend of mine, haha

We just don't have many of these things around here so I'm not sure of what they are worth. Looks pretty sick though, hah

But I agree, the price did seem steap to me too.

I was just telling my buddy about this deal and he told me his uncle is going to sell his 03' mxz 800. So we went and looked and his uncle tells me $3200 cash and it's mine! Hah, pretty sweet deal. So needless to say that 600 is off the list.

Before I go get it i was just wondering what you guys think of these sleds. I keep seeing posts about them having all kinds of recalls, they overheat and they are a pain to work on.

Another sled I was looking at was an 03 Pro-X 600 for $3000 but the suspension on the mxz just seems to feel so much better.

One thing you want to make sure about on the 03 800 that something has been done with the rings on the sled. I believe it was 03-04 800s that had problems with the rings flaking. For more information on that issue consult dootalk.

I just bought that sled in great condition with very low miles and a complete diagnostic for $3000 not including tax, handling, etc. So i would definately look for a better price.

Don't pay that much for the pro-x it's a good sled but not worth 3000 anymore imo. I should say not in my area atleast. I guess I don't know what sleds are going for around your place.
