I'm not a Polaris guy
But there are several measurement's you'll need from the Donor sled.

First will the width of the new skid fit in your older tunnel?

Second you need the Front skid arm to Drive shaft Center to Center distance.

Third you need the Front arm to Rear arm mounted C to C distance (Compressed, not sitting free outside the sled!)

These measurement's Must come from the DONOR sled, and must be drilled into older tunnel, or the skid won't work properly.

Quite often you have to make and install new mount plate's for the tunnel, as newer skid's tend to have longer arm's than the skid that's being replaced, and their mounting hole's don't fall on the existing mount plate's in the older tunnel.

These mount plate's should be made out of some form of steel, as aluminum isn't really strong enough for this application.
I used 16 gauge Stainless, when I put a 98 ZR skid in My 90 Prowler.

If all these condition's can be met, any skid can be installed into any sled

Just remember when you change to a modern skid, it will also change the front suspension geometry!

Hope this help's
If the project work's out for you, Post Pic's!

IQ tunnel is about 1/2" narrower, so you'll have to put shims between the tunnel/skid. Would be better off with an 04 xr 440 skid. They are very similar to the 05 IQ skid at least, and are going to be the "normal" width.
