Ok, I had an almost mint 99 Cherokee, that with 101k highway miles got totalled when I got t-boned in Jan '04.. Bought that back from the insurance company and parked it, expecting to use it for parts on a replacement jeep.
In August '04, I bought another used 99 Cherokee almost identical to it (but rustier), with 120k, and drove it till at 165k I hydroplaned off the road and damaged the steering linkage and cracked the steering gearbox (very minor body damage). I was actually working toward taking this off the road anyway, because of chassis rot from 10 years of NY salt, and didn't trust towing 2 sleds on a trailer behind it.
So what I've got, is 2 good '99 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 setups, with worthless chassis, and I'm trying to figure out how much I can sell them for, without getting ripped off.
There's gotta be a couple jeep-club 4x4 guys around here, what's a good asking price?

the average Joe doesn't want to buy a car that needs thousands in repairs. only place thats going to want it will be a junkyard they they hardly ever pay more then $500 for a vehicle, if that...

To clarify I'm not trying to sell for repair, I'm looking for someone that wants parts for their mudders (or whatever) without having to pay junkyard prices.
