They dont get much snow there. If they do, its gone fast. My old roommate was from there. Nice area though, with the river and a fun downtown area. There is also a riverboat casino called Diamond Joes that can be a good time.
Im pretty sure they dont ever really get enough snow to ride, though

My ride: 2002 Skidoo MXZ 600. All Yellow and proud of it.

I heard that the ditches are alway full of snow. You could always trailer your sled back up here and go riding

-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

We'll leave the gate open for ya to come into WI. There are nice trails in SW WI that will connect you to anywhere ya wanna go. Some of the best riding we had was down in that area a couple years ago. You might have to learn how to go over fence bridges, but hey, it's worth it. Lots of variety in the trail system..open fields, hills, woods, rivers, lakes, a mixed bag. Check out Platteville and Lancaster for trail maps.

Iowa to Minnesota is deffinetly going to be different. There are trail although when it snows, don't mess around get to riding because it doesnt stay long. Also get used to running in lower snow which means changing more carbides and slides. I'm not familiar with Dubuque but I think there are trails there. Ditches are always fun.

Thanks for the info, I still plan on going to the U.P. and out west to ride, but it is always to ride close to home.
