not sure if its this, but i was talking to my dad and he said that the diaphragm in the fuel pump could have possibly got flipped around the wrong direction causing it not to pump from the crankcase pressure.

something to check,
hope it helps

How about the pickup line in the fuel tank? They often break off after they start to rot.

gas valve. there is a red lever or switch in the fuel lines. usually near the oil/coolant bottle. its pretty hidden on your sled, kinda on the bottom side of the oil tank by the brake caliper. theres two positions- one position is off. turn it 90 degrees and its on. off=no gas to fuel pump.

-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)

Just add gas and snow!

Is your pickup line floating and not weighed down. You should be able to pull off outside line at tank and get plenty of fuel out of it.

would it matter if i mounted the fuel pump up side down so the fuel in was on the bottom next to the crank inlet?

Fuel pump direction should not matter. Are you sure about the fuel line INSIDE the tank?? If you replaced that one too, try unhooking that line and blowing back into the tank. Hear bubbles, ok. Check your fuel pump again. It's not hard to get one of the plates turned around and it will not pump. Check all of the gaskets too. Is there one turned wrong? If everything from the pump to the tank is good, pull the carbs and check the float valves, as said before, they might be stuck.

This makes me wonder though...why is the pump now upside down??

You do have the filter installed correctly, Gas going through? Do you have any clear line to watch where the Gas stops? New line in the tank and is bottomed out, the valve coming out of the tank is not plugged. Comes up to the pump ok? Turn the pump back around to test, still no Gas?
