polaris CDI boxes - Same CDI boxes on different sleds started by 650indy1

	I need a CDI box for my 2002 edge X I'm looking on e-bay for them and Im getting conflicting info. Allot of the auctions say the same box with fit 600,700, and 800 twins and some say that years and motor sizes will cross over I see that there are different part numbers. 	they will say anything to make a sale.....To know for sure you need to look at the service manual and timing curves. They list RMKs XC7s XC6s just so they can get hits on their auction commonly. I used to take the time to let them know a 1998 RMK will not run to potential with a XC700 cdi...most don't care. They just want the sale. I bought one for an extra one time and didn't hook it up right away to check. Later after I couldn't leave feedback I realized it was junk. So if you get one,,, check it right away.... Is your cdi not remap-able? In other words some of the newer CDIs can be sent out and reprogrammed...
