After 5 years of not riding my families sleds I wanted to snowmobile again. At the time I was a young kid riding with three on one sled and two on the other. My dad and I really got back into it last year. At the time 87 Enticers were all we needed because it was "family oriented" but now its either we make mods to them to make them go faster haha. Or we get new sleds. What is your opinion on what sled to get and why. I have been looking at prices a lot on Craigslist and dealerships but dont want to buy one till winter. Just in case of scams and such.
Or should we fix the Enticers? But for sure if we would get new sleds. I would keep those sleds to putz around on and stuff
Thanks

Hey Mr enticerman
I have a 93 arctic cat 340 lynx longtrack in not bad condition and my dad and i used to just run around and do short trips which it was more then perfect but last year I put on almost 1000 miles and i blew a berring, a belt and had to replace the sparkplug coil, so now i own a 98 440 short track (polaris) which should do the job. In short i would suggest getting some short track sleds, about 440 - 600 and using those for the trail riding. happy trails man.

It depends on your budget. If you're looking for speed, then try an F7 or a Viper,
or a thundercat 1000. There are a slough of fast, decent sleds that you can get for a decent price. Welcome back to snowmobiling, I don't see how you can go for 5 years without snowmobiling.
-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

Lol I did snowmobile every year haha. I just rode on other sleds of my families at our cottage. Like an Apex which was fast!!!
I dont want speed necessarily I want smoothness and more less everything combined to make a nice sled.

The way you worded it made it sound like you havn't rode in 5 years, that's all.

So youa are looking for just a smooth trail ride, if you have 2000 dollars i would just buy 2 xlt's or xc's they have some speed and are fairly comfortable remember the newer the better, but it all depends on your budget.

Ok man. Yeah my budget is kind of whatever. But I like the Vmaxs Srxs and Polaris xc's which are really sweet. I found a deal on craigslist. 1 Vmax 600 and 1 Xc and a salt shield trailer for 3500 which I think is good? Quote originally posted by kingofkings

Ok, personaly i hate yahmahas but somepeople really really like them. If i were you i would just pick and choose. What year is the VMAX cause i would offer the guy 2250 for just the trailer and the xc, and then just hunt craigslist for another sled.

Thanks man. Yeah I definitely will wait till the snow is on the ground before I buy most likely.
So I can ride.
And I am always looking for bargains and good prices to get a good deal on my sled Quote originally posted by YamahaRider34
