Can i do this with my exhaust?! - i am already a member its been awhile on here and i forgot my info so i had to create a new username.. started by DieHardSledder

k well i have a 2004 z440twin and where my two pipes come into that one large one that leads to the can can i disconnect it right there and just run it that large pipe and no can? or shud i make a custom steel pipe to make the exhaust exit at the bottom?. bottom line is i want it lighter and im dead set on doing this can anyone help me out?

buy an aftermarket pipe set up. dont mess with the stock one cuz you will run into different problems. If its a fan cooled, then i believe AAEN makes a pipe for it. You will prob have to call them cuz they usually dont list everything online.

Well if you set on doing it, why are you asking us for help. Just do it.

ok well i know the can provides back preasure and all that for the engine thats y its there. I guess im asking is this going to hurt my engine by running a straight homeade pipe from the fat pipe to where my can would be or is it going to help it or do nothing but make it loud for it?

you cant just dump the pipe it will screw up the tune of the pipe and you will loos power
